Brightergy Receives $2.5M from Trinity Private Equity Group

Brightergy, a Kansas City, MO-based provider of solar energy design, financing, installation, and monitoring services, has received a $2.5m investment from Trinity Private Equity Group.

The company intends to use the funds to expand in Massachusetts, where it is opening an office (Boston).
It will also announce additional Northeast regional offices in the near future.

Trinity is also partnering with Brightergy to establish a commercial project finance fund, which will target $40m in commercial solar projects with an emphasis on 200 kilowatt to 1 megawatt systems.

Led by CEO Adam Blake, the company offers multiple financing programs (BrighterFinance, BrighterLease, and BrighterPPA) ranging from $0 down ownership to solar leases and power purchase agreements.
One of its regional office is also based in St Louis.
