Savo-Solar Oy, a Mikkeli, Finland-based manufacturer of solar thermal solutions, has received an investment from Sitra.
The company intends to use the funds to promote the production of solar energy integrated in buildings and district heating systems in the domestic and export market.
Led by CEO Jari Varjotie and CTO Kaj Pischow, Savo-Solar manufactures solar energy collectors and absorbers for OEM partners throughout the world. The company’s products are based on vacuum coating process where the complete absorber can be coated, which means that the direct flow design can be utilized.
