neoSurgical Raises €1.6M in Funding

neoSurgical Ltd, a Dublin, Ireland-based medical devices company that develops innovative products intended to improve Laparoscopic abdominal surger, has raised a €1.6m funding.

The round was led by Kernel Capital through the Bank of Ireland MedTech Accelerator Fund, which invested €500k, with participation from Enterprise Ireland and a number of private investors from the Irish Med Tech industry.

The company intends to use the funds to develop its products and provide them globally.

Led by CEO Barry Russell, neoSurgical develops devices designed to make Laparoscopic abdominal surgery safer and easier for both the surgeon and patient. Its lead product, neoClose, offers a new method of closing laparoscopic wounds that can reduce or prevent herniation complications.
The company has its R&D Facilty in Galway, Ireland.
