NABsys, Inc., a Providence, RI-based developer of solid-state electronic systems for single-molecule DNA sequencing and analysis, has closed a $10m Series C venture capital financing.
The round, which brings the total amount raised by the company to date to over $21m, was led by Stata Venture Partners.
NABsys intends to use the funds for continued technology development and commercialization.
Led by CEO Dr. Barrett Bready, the company is developing its proprietary electronic solid-state DNA sequencing platform designed to address a broad range of applications, from analysis of DNA structural variation, to sequencing of targeted genes, to whole-genome sequencing.
