Caristix Closes Seed Financing

Caristix, a Quebec City, QC, Canada healthcare IT startup, has closed a seed financing of undisclosed amount.

The round was led by Real Ventures, with participation from Anges Quebec investors.

The company intends to use the funding for customer acquisition in the US and new product development.

In conjunction with the funding, JS Cournoyer from Real Ventures and serial entrepreneur Martin Ouellet from Anges Québec have joined Caristix’ board.

Led by CEO and co-founder Stéphane Vigot, the company has developed a software suite to automate hospitals and healthcare IT vendors’ manual work to set up data interface to share patient information. The software reads data in an information system and outputs a list of requirements for setting up the interface.
