VSCHOOLZ Receives Significant Private Equity Investment from Huizenga Holdings

VSCHOOLZ, Inc., a Coral Spring, FL-based e-learning company, has received a significant private equity investment from Huizenga Holdings.

Founded by a team of educators,  VSCHOOLZ provides a turnkey digital solution for schools or districts, which want to launch their own virtual programs or support a blended learning environment in traditional schools.
The solution enables teachers to edit, or remove the content to fit individualized classroom and school needs. Courses include customizable interactive and engaging student activities, an e-text, assignments, quizzes and tests, and are delivered in a user-friendly online environment. They also incorporate collaborative tools such as message boards, digital drop boxes, chat rooms, and teacher to teacher file sharing.

Huizenga Holdings is the private equity investment vehicle of Wayne Huizenga, a renowned South Florida entrepreneur who has built and led multiple corporations including seven Stock Exchange entities: AutoNation, Inc., Waste Management, Inc., Blockbuster, Inc., Republic Services, Inc., Extended Stay America, Inc., Boca Resorts, Inc, and Swisher Hygiene, Inc. Commenting on the investment, Huizenga said: “Our group is extremely excited about this new partnership with VSCHOOLZ because it addresses the very important issue of educating our youth in a more comprehensive fashion that meets their needs in a digital society“.
