Minus.com, a New York City-based file sharing tech startup, has raised $1m in capital from IDG Capital Partners.
The company intends to use the funds expand its team, invest in technology and infrastructure, including purchasing additional cloud computing capacity and introduce new features in its platform.
Co-founded by president and CEO Carl Hu, and COO and CMO John Xie, Minus aims to allow people to share files online such as photos, documents, music, and videos on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, in emails, instant message conversations, and other websites. Users can share and access files through Android and iOS mobile applications, and desktop applications for PC, Mac and Linux. Browser extensions are also available for Google Chrome and Firefox.
