Flickme, a San Mateo, CA-based a newly formed streaming movie and social networking service, recently received funding from Sequoia Capital.
Launched today with initial license agreements from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and Warner Bros. Digital Distribution, Flickme allows users to rent or buy new and popular titles movies. Members can also log in with their Facebook accounts, exchange recommendations with friends, earn badges, and share discounts. The service offers limited time, shareable discounts on selection of catalog titles.
