Eco Eridania Receives €10M Equity Investment from Fondo Italiano di Investimento

Eco Eridania, an Arenzano (GE), Italy-based waste management company, has received a €10m equity investment from Fondo Italiano di Investimento (FII).

With the close of the transaction, FII will own a minority stake in Eco Eridania.

The company intends to use the proceeds from the investment to build  gas and energy recovery plants as well as continue its process of industrial aggregation.

Founded in 1988 by major shareholder and CEO Andrea Giustini, and his sister Rossella,  Eco Eridania specializes in the collection, transport and storage of hazardous and non hazardous waste, including sanitary waste, collection, transport and activity of by-product transit of animal origin, as well as storage of non-hazardous waste intended for recycling. It currently employs 160 people and generates a turnover of €24m.

Customers include public health organizations located in the Center and in the North of the country, as well as care facilities, and dental and analysis laboratories.
