10to6competition: €1m Startup Competition to relocate to L’Aquila

The rebirth of L’Aquila, the central Italy city hit by an earthquake in April 2009, is also being promoted by its university through a start up competition.

The 10to6competition makes available €1m to 10 high tech entreprenurial from projects willing to locate in the premises of University of L’Aquila. The aim is to attract new technologies and develop local excellence around teh university, which ia a public teaching and research institution offering a full range of academic programmes including biotechnologies, sciences, economics, engineering, education, humanities, medicine, psychology, sport sciences, etc.

The competition is supported and sponsored by a network including venture capital firms such as Fondamenta Sgr, M31 and Vertis Sgr.

Projects must be submitted by the 30th September 2011 at 06:00pm GMT ([email protected]).
