Yapta Receives $5M Strategic Investment from Concur

Yapta, a Seattle, WA-based provider of airfare tracking and hotel rate tracking services, has received a $5m strategic investment from Concur (Nasdaq: CNQR), a provider of integrated travel and expense management solutions for companies of all sizes.

The two companies have also entered into an alliance agreement, under which Concur will exclusively use Yapta’s airfare price tracking and price assurance services for its TripIt Pro users. The parties also plan to explore additional opportunities for integrating their respective services.
TripIt Pro helps travelers stay informed with flight alerts and alternate flight options, organizes all frequent traveler points in one place, and monitors flights within the traveler’s itinerary and automatically notifies the traveler if there’s a chance for a flight refund.

Led by co-founder and CEO Tom Romary, Yapta provides tools, information and intelligence on air and hotel pricing. The company offers a range of travel price monitoring solutions that serve both the individual leisure and business traveler – as well as larger travel management organizations looking to provide additional value for their customers.
