PixelFish, a Torrance, California-based provider of online video and marketing solutions for local businesses, has closed a $4m round of funding.
The round was led by Bullpen Capital, with participation from existing investors Floodgate and Mack Capital, and new backers Tomorrow Ventures, 500 Startups and Western Tech.
PixelFish intends to use the new capital to continue to build out its technology initiatives, while bolstering its sales and marketing programs and teams.
Led by CEO John McIntyre, the company has developed a SaaS application that allows local businesses and their marketing partners to create, distribute, and optimize online video to attract and engage customers.
Customers include small-to-medium sized local businesses and national businesses with a local presence.
