NVELO Inc., a Santa Clara, CA-based provider of storage caching software, has closed $6.6m Series A financing.
The round was led by SKS Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to expand the Dataplex product line for consumer computing and launch a new Dataplex storage product designed specifically for server storage caching.
Dataplex is a host-based software product designed to increase the overall computing performance by using a small SSD as a high-performance cache for an existing HDD. It is compatible with any desktop or notebook computer.
Led by Founder and CEO Jiurong Cheng, NVELO was formed as a spin-off company during the acquisition of Denali Software by Cadence Design Systems (NASDAQ: CDNS), which holds equity investment in the company.
