LumiGrow, Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based provider of energy-efficient lighting solutions for commercial agriculture and horticultural research, has raised an undisclosed sum in Series A financing from Clean Pacific Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the market expansion of its solutions.
In conjunction with the funding, Clean Pacific Ventures’ General Partner and Chief Investment Officer Sean Schickedanz will join LumiGrow’s Board of Directors.
Led by CEO Kevin Wells, the company provides high-efficiency LED lighting solutions for horticulture, which are designed to enable commercial growers and agribusinesses to achieve operational efficiencies, reduce energy consumption and improve crop yield. LumiGrow’s solutions can be used in greenhouses, indoor farms and scientific research chambers and are eligible for energy efficiency subsidies from Pacific Gas & Electric, Puget Sound Energy and other utilities.
