Bubble & Balm, a Leamington Spa, UK-based Fairtrade bodycare business, has raised £75k in growth capital on Crowdcube, the crowdfunding web-based crowdfunding platform that offers investors equity in small businesses.

Eighty-two investors each contributed between £10 and £7,500 to meet the funding target in return for 15%  equity in the business.

The company intends to use the funds to extend its product range, expand its marketing efforts and partner with retailers including Waitrose, Oxfam, Planet Organic and a growing number of independents.

Founded by Managing Director Sue Acton, Bubble & Balm sells luxury soaps, which  are made in the UK using a blend of natural plant derived ingredients, including coconut oil, glycerine and essential oils.
