4i Security Raises £320K

4i Security, a Blackburn, UK-based security software firm, has received a £320k financing.

The investment was made by the North West Fund for Venture Capital, managed by Enterprise Ventures (EV).

4i intends to use the funds to continue to grow.

In conjunction with the transaction, entrepreneur Nick Owen of EV, has joined the company’s board.

Founded in 2007 by managing director Mark Slater, and technical director Matthew Brough, 4i Security has developed a software platform designed to enable commercial and public sector organisations to control all security and fire prevention (including burglar alarms, access control systems and CCTV systems, fire security systems, flood, temperature and keyholding) in a building, limiting false alarms and call-outs.
