VirtuOz, Inc., an Emeryville, CA-based provider of intelligent virtual agents (IVAs) for online customer service, has raised $7m in additional funding.
Participant include existing investors Mohr Davidow, Inventures Group and Galileo Partners.
The company intends to use the funds for product development and expand sales and marketing efforts in the U.S. and E.U.
Led by CEO Steve L. Adams, VirtuOz enables large and mid-market enterprises to use Intelligent Virtual Agents to provide class online customer and technical support. Clients include companies such as eBay, SFR, H&R Block and L’Oreal.
The company operates a European office in Paris, France.
