Viralheat Raises $4.25M in Series A Funding

Viralheat, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of social Web analytics solutions, has raised $4.25m in a Series A funding.

The round was led by Mayfield Fund.

The funding, which follows a $75,000 seed round, will be used to expand the company’s engineering team, create new products and services and accelerate customer acquisition.

Launched in 2009 by CEO Raj Kadam and Vishal Sankhla, Viralheat provides features such as deep social media trends, sentiment, influencer data, analytics, and intelligence.

The company recently launched a new “Human Intent” product, which is designed to give businesses the ability to identify in real-time individuals that are near to purchase online, into private beta.

Viralheat currently serves over 1,300 customers including brands, agencies, marketers and content producers.
