SocialVest, a cause-based shopping platform, has raised over $1m in a Series A financing.
The round was led by Bluff Point Associates.
The company aims to use the funds to further develop its platform, a free service that enable users to shop and earn with over 600 leading retailers and then donate money to registered nonprofits, managing their online giving accounts.
Retailers include Target, Macy’s, Home Depot, Best Buy, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales.
In conjunction with the funding, Bluff Point Associates Managing Director, Neil Gabriele will joinSocialVest’s board of directors.
Led by founder and CEO Adam Ross, SocialVest include tools to share the amount received and donated via Facebook, Twitter and other social channels.
