buuteeq, a Seattle, WA-based company that provides independent hotels with a Digital Marketing System (DMS), closed a $3.5m Series A financing round.
The round was led by Mike Galgon and Geoff Entress, with participation from Benaroya Capital Company and significant angel investors and executives from the Seattle advertising, digital marketing and technology industries.
In conjunction with the funding, Mr. Galgon has joined buuteeq’s board of directors.
The round brings the total amount rasied by the company to date to $5m.
buuteeq intends to use the funds to further develop its DMS and expand worldwide.
Founded in February 2010 by former Microsoft executives Forest Key and Adam Brownstein, the company has created a DMS featuring a content management system, multi-channel digital marketing, content publishing, online reservations, and integrated business intelligence. It is designed to enable independent hotels to increase occupancy and reduce distribution costs by converting more direct reservations through online bookings. With the subscription-based service, hotels can create and manage high-performing web, mobile and Facebook sites, promotions and reservations, all from a single place.
