Active-Semi Receives $6M Credit Facility from Silicon Valley Bank

Active-Semi International, Inc., a Silicon Valley, California-based designer and supplier of analog semiconductors for mobile devices, has secured $6m in debt financing from Silicon Valley Bank.

Active-Semi intends to use the working capital facility to increase capacity, expand its US R&D center, and finance its account receivables in Hong Kong.

Led by CEO Larry Blackledge and backed by venture capital firms U.S. Venture Partners (USVP), Tenaya Capital, Selby Ventures, among the others, Active-Semi develops new PMU/PMICs (Power Management Units/Power Management ICs) to support ARM applications processors and High-Power devices for Apple iPod and iPhone.

Founded in 2004, the company does business in China among other global locations.
