fring, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based communication service that gives users internet-rich communication from their mobile phones, closed a Series C financing round of undisclosed amount.
Investors include North Bridge Venture Capital, Pitango Venture Capital and Veritas Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its suite to new devices and segments of users.
Led by Co-Founder & CEO Said Avi Shechter, fring offers free mobile group video calls, video calls, calls & live chat on all major smartphones (including iPhone/ iPod touch, Android and Nokia) on any mobile operator, and any mobile internet connection (3G/4G, WiFi, GPRS, EDGE).
