Crimson Hexagon Secures $5M in Series B Funding

Crimson Hexagon, a Cambridge, MA-based social intelligence company, has secured $5m in Series B funding.

The round was led by Charles F. Dolan, founder and chairman of Cablevision Systems Corporation.

The company intends to use the funding will be used for product development and growth within the media, financial services, public affairs, health and life science sectors.

Founded in 2007, and led by President and CEO Patricia Gottesman, Crimson Hexagon provides global brands, media, financial services, advertising, government and public affairs organizations with social intelligence software and services designed to deliver a real-time view of how engaged online consumers think and feel about a brand or issue. The company uses its patent-pending technology originally developed at Harvard University’s Institute for Quantitative Social Science.
