Conexant Holdings, Inc., a Newport Beach, Calif.-based supplier of innovative semiconductor solutions for imaging, audio, embedded modem, and video surveillance applications, has received a private equity investment of undisclosed amount from August Capital.
In conjunction with the transaction, Andy Rappaport partner at August Capital, will join Conexant’s board of directors.
The investment will support the growth of the company across a variety of new markets.
Led by president and CEO Sailesh Chittipeddi, Ph.D., Conexant is a fabless semiconductor company
that offers innovative solutions including products for imaging, audio, embedded modem, and video surveillance applications.
August Capital joined existing investor Golden Gate Capital.
