BranchOut, a San Francisco, CA-based startup that operates a job networking service on Facebook, has raised $18m in its Series B funding.
The round was led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from existing investors Accel Partners, Norwest Ventures, and Floodgate.
Launched in July 2010 by founder and CEO Rick Marini, BranchOut allows Facebook users to create professional profiles, search for jobs and internships, source leads for recruiting and sales, and build their network of professional connections
The company, which has raised more than $24m to date, intends to use the funds to develop its suite of enterprise products to help companies recruit professionals on Facebook.
The newly lanched product, called Jobs Tab, is designed to allow companies to publish job openings to their Facebook Pages
In conjunction with the funding, Geoff Yang, Founding Partner of Redpoint Ventures, will join BranchOut’s board.
