Boticca.com, a London, UK-based online accessories marketplace that is designed to connect customers to independent designers around the world, has completed a $2.5m Series A funding.
The round was led by ISAI, with participation from Annoushka Ducas and John Ayton, Bobby Yazdani, and Digital Garage, a Japanese Internet incubator.
The company intends to use the funds to grow its team, expand its marketing efforts, and continue to develop the platform to enhance the customer experience.
Publicly launched in October 2010 by CEO Kiyan Foroughi and Avid Larizadeh, Boticca.com connects customers with emerging jewelry, bags and accessories designers.
In conjunction with the funding, Jean-David Chamboredon of ISAI, has joined the company’s board of directors, alongside Olivier Mathiot, co-founder of and VP of Marketing for Priceminister, and John Ayton.
