Zixi Raises $4M

Zixi, a Waltham, MA-based provider of end-to-end infrastructure software-as-a-service (ISaaS) solutions to broadcast and deliver HD content over the Internet in real-time, has raised $4m in funding.
The round was led by Schooner Capital, with participation from Sidney Topol, and Maurice “Reese” Schonfeld.
Founded in 2006 by CEO Israel Drori, Zixi enables:

– enterprises to securely telecast collaborative HD video conferences to multiple locations worldwide in real-time.
It is available as a plug-in for broadcasters, PCs, mobile devices and set-top boxes and supports any video encoding and encryption over MPEG transport streams at any bit-rate and broadcasts in up to full HDTV (1080p/60fps).
Commenting on the funding, Mr. Drori said: “This financing enables Zixi to further establish a world-class team and complete the delivery of our end-to-end infrastructure software-as-a-service (ISaaS) solution to companies that need to broadcast and deliver flawless HD content securely over the Internet with speed and ease”.
