Waud Capital Partners, a Chicago, Illinois-based middle-market private equity firm, held the final close of its third fund at $463m.
Waud Capital Partners III, which exceeded its initial $350m target, received support from the majority of existing investors and attracted a new and diverse group of domestic and international pension plans, foundations, family offices and individuals.
The firm’s partners have also made a significant personal commitment to the fund, which will focus on making equity investments ranging from $20 to $100m in companies operating within healthcare services, business and consumer services, specialty distribution and select industrial areas.
After completing its first investment, the WCP team is currently pursuing additional opportunities.
Founded in 1993 by Managing Partner Reeve Waud, WCP is also led by Matt Clary and David Neighbours.
