Tickengo, a Daly City CA-based platform that allows people to share a ride, recently raised seed funding from Kima Ventures.
The company has created a social platform that enables drivers to offer their available seats, provide an itinerary, and invite passengers to buy a ticket or to join a private Commuter Group to fill empty seats.
Already available in the US, Canada, France, UK, Belgium, Tickengo is designed to complement air travel or public transportation and improve mobility, reduce trafic congestion and CO2 emissions.
It also allows companies, organizations, public places and events to improve access to their location by creating their own transportation network.
Led by CEO Jeremie Romand and CTO Frederic Gomez, the company has a French office in Lyon.
