SignalSet Raises $6M in Series A Financing

SignalSet, a Seattle, WA-based developer of software that enables mobile phones to switch from one carrier’s network to another, has raised $6m in Series A financing.

The round was led by Vanedge Capital, with participation from Point B Capital, Globespan Capital Partners and Razorback Capital and other seed investors.

The company intends to use the funds for ongoing product development, product launch, and marketing initiatives conducted with an undisclosed development and distribution partner (a leading trucking industry OEM).

Led by CEO Peter van der Gracht, SignalSet developed a wireless infrastructure solution that allows machine-to-machine device manufacturers and OEMs to deploy and remotely manage wireless devices capable of switching between GSM and CDMA wireless networks with no manual intervention.
The company recently signed agreements for network access with Sprint and T-Mobile.
