Trekmates, a Nottingham, UK-based company that designs, sources and supplies a broad range of outdoor clothing and accessories, has received £8.7m debt and equity financing.
The investment was made by Enterprise Ventures, which acquired a minority stake in rhe company. Additional debt facilities have been provided by The Co-operative Bank.
The new capital will enable the team to continue their expansion into Europe and develop their brand offering.
Established in 1997, Trekmates serves over 500 retailers both in the UK and overseas.
Following the transactions, the company will continue to be managed by serial entrepreneur and former CEO of Games Workshop, Chris Prentice, who chairs the business and Group Sales Director, Jonathan Clayton.
