Tintri Raises $17M

Tintri Inc., a Mountain View, Calif.-based developer of storage systems for virtual machines, has raised $17m in Series A and B funding.

Investors include from NEA and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

In conjunction with the funding, the company has launched its VMstore product, which is designed to allow enterprises to virtualize different kinds of mission-critical applications incluiding Oracle Financials and Microsoft Exchange.
Tintri VMstore is already in use at a wide range of companies in global electronics, mobile games, geo-informatics, technology, higher education and others.

Founded in 2008 and led by CEO Dr. Kieran Harty, The company has a research and development team of experts coming from Citrix, EMC/Data Domain, Google, NetApp, Sun Microsystems, VMware and others.
