Tier 3, a Seattle, WA-based enterprise platform-as-a-service (PaaS) company, raised $8.5m in Series A funding.
Investors include Ignition Capital and Madrona Venture Group.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the expansion of its service portfolio into new markets.
In conjunction with the funding, John Connors from Ignition and Matt McIlwain from Madrona will join Tier 3’s Board of Directors.
Founded in 2006 and led by CEO Adam Wray, The company provides a mission critical enterprise platform that helps align corporate revenue owners with their IT departments. Its Web AI, Autoscale, Dynamic Allocation, Dynamic IO and Network 4.0 services are designed to work together to automate best practices, remove the burden of physical hardware, and deploy optimized business environments within the cloud.
Customers include companies across consulting, e-commerce, SaaS and e-discovery industries.
