OwnZones Media Network, Inc. a Redmond, Washington-based company that is developing a digital content delivery and subscription platform, completed a $500,000 initial round of funding.
Investors weren’t revealed.
The company intends to use the funds to further develop and refine its platform and conduct market tests. OwnZones is launching the first of four trials in January, 2012. It is currently in negotiations with a variety of print and video content publishers.
Founded by Daniel Goman, OwnZones is developing a digital ecosystem where customers can find and purchase content to create their own personal media network, called “zone”, tailored to their individual needs and interests.
E. Arthur Self, Ph.D., is Chairman and Chief Strategic Officer of the company.
