CrowdFlower Raises $7M in Series B Financing

CrowdFlower, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of on-demand crowdsourced solutions for Fortune 500 businesses, has raised $7m in Series B financing.
The round was led by Harmony Partners, with participation from existing investors Trinity Ventures and Bessemer Venture Partners.
With this round, the company has raised over $13m in venture financing.
Founded in 2007 and led by CEO Lukas Biewald, CrowdFlower provides Labor-on-Demand to help companies route high-volume, repetitive tasks to a massively distributed global workforce. It uses statistically backed crowdsourcing technology to produce a scalable and reliable workforce that can dispatch a diverse array of tasks and provide near-real time answers. In addition, CrowdFlower offers an API that businesses can connect to and automate their processes.
The company has also released a Product Categorization solution, which enables companies to optimize their product taxonomies so that they can make their products easier for customers to find. According to a press release, it provides more than 1.5 million trusted human judgments on products each month at 95% accuracy.
