Bastion Security Installations Raises £400K from FW Capital

Bastion Security Installations, a Gateshead, UK-based specialist security equipment manufacturer, has raised £400,000 from FW Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to increase its capacity as it expands into new and existing markets, upgrade its production facilities and recruit and train new staff.
Bastion designs, manufactures and installs physical security products including cash machine enclosures, cashier facilities and anti-ballistic products, which are used by companies in the banking, defence and retail sectors, and government departments.
In 2011, the company plans to launch several new products into the public security, commercial security and defence sectors. The first is a high security modular enclosure system.
Led by Managing Director Tom Deevy, who acquired the company in 2002 through a management buy-out (MBO), Bastion currently has a staff of 22.
