Altobridge Limited, an Irish-based provider of a technology that cuts the cost of delivering voice and broadband data services across wireless networks, has received US$12m in Series C funding.This round was led by Intel Capital, with participation from IFC.
The company intends to use the funds to scale commercially and to advance its R&D to further reduce transmission costs for mobile network operators.
Led by CEO Mike Fitzgerald, Altobridge has developed a technology that enables mobile network operators in emerging markets to cost effectively extend their broadband services.
