Vocab AB, a Kista, Stockholm, Sweden-based company that develops mobile applications for education and vocational training, has raised an equity investment of undisclosed amount.
Investors include Almi Invest, a number of Swedish and international investors, including Marc Beul and Markus Berger de Leon and existing backer Sting Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to launch its apps internationally on all major mobile platforms.
Focusing on individualized learning solutions, Vocab has decided to take opportunities from the market for mobile applications, which is expected to continue to grow in the coming years. Education is one of the segment in which smartphones are increasingly used, either alone or as a supplement to traditional learning.
