Vitrue Closes $17M Series C Financing Round

Vitrue, an Atlanta, GA-based social media management software provider, has closed a $17m Series C financing round.
The round was led by Scale Venture Partners and Advent Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors General Catalyst Partners, Comcast Interactive, and Dace Ventures.
In conjunction with the funding, Stacey Curry Bishop, partner with Scale Venture Partners, has joined the company’s board.
Led by CEO Reggie Bradford, Vitrue has developed a software-as-a-service platform that provides brands and marketing agencies with the tools they need to harness the power of social media and communicate with millions of fans in 47 countries across more than 2,500 Facebook and Twitter accounts, emerging social media avenues, and mobile applications.
The company intends to use the funds to open three International offices in London, Toronto and Singapore, expand in seven markets including New York, San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati and Los Angeles, integrate the product with social media application partners and hire between 100 and 150 new employees.
