NexGen Storage Raises Series A Funding

NexGen Storage, a Louisville, Colorado-based provider of storage area network (SAN) storage solutions for virtual server environments, has raised an uniscosed amount of funding as a part of its Series A round.
The investment was led by Grotech Ventures, with participation from Access Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the new funds to accelerate product availability and hire qualified staff. NexGen Storage’s SAN solutions will be commercially available later this year.
Founded in 2010 by CEO John Spiers and CTO Kelly Long, the company provides organizations deploying virtualization and cloud infrastructures with solutions that are designed to meet today’s demanding storage requirements in terms of performance, capacity efficiency, power consumption and space utilization.
