Happyview.fr, a Paris, France online eyeglass retailer and a licensed optician on the Internet, has raised €3m in equity funding.
Investors include Alven Capital and private supporters including several internet entrepreneurs.
The company intends to use the funds to reinforce its market position across France, expand marketing efforts, launch new features and hire new professionals.
Launched 18 months ago and led by founder and President Marc Adamowicz, Happyview.fr offers eyeglasses and sunglasses online for all tastes, all ages, for nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia. The site provides over 500 models of glasses from major brands including Ray-Ban, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Ralph Lauren, Persol, Puma, Diesel, Armani).
Happyview.fr currently has 12 employees including 4 qualified opticians.
