Fetch Technologies Closes Series B Funding Round

Fetch Technologies, an El Segundo, CA-based provider of a patented solution designed to help companies access real-time feeds of critical information, closed a Series B round of funding.
The round was led by Robert Sansom, a founder of Fore Systems, Sheldon Stone, Founder and Principal of Oaktree Capital Management, LLC, who also joined the company’s Board, and Frank Baxter.
The company intends to use the funds, whose amount remained undisclosed, to accelerate sales and marketing efforts and advance its technology.
Created at the University of Southern California’s Information Sciences Institute, Fetch’s solution was originally funded with U.S. Government grants.
Led by by CEO Robert Landes, the company’s solution enables organizations to access, aggregate and use real-time information from websites. Its software agents navigate millions of websites to instantly deliver meaningful, useful and reliable data, and easily integrate with a company’s existing data management system for immediate analysis.
Clients include Dow Jones, Reuters, McGraw Hill and Verifications, Inc.
