EMCAS Ltd, a Paignton, UK-based financial claims management company, has received a majority investment of undisclosed amount from private equity firm Lonsdale Capital Partners.
Investors also include Souter Investments.
The investment will support the management team led by CEO Craig Bernhardt and CFO James Scarth in developing both existing business as well as debt management solutions and other new services.
In addition, Lonsdale named David White, former CEO of The Children’s Mutual, as new Non-Executive Chairman.
Founded in 2003 as a claims management company helping consumers gain compensation and refunds for mis-sold financial products and unfair charges, EMCAS currently employs around 155 staff.
