Campus Dibs, a social deal site that focuses on college students, alumni and campus communities, has raised funding from a group of undisclosed angel investors.
The company will keep the round open to strategic investors, but intends to close the financing within the next few weeks.
Campus Dibs intends to use the funding to support the next phase of growth and innovation and expand the reach of its platform.
Launched in 2010 by founder and CEO Garren Givens, the site features deals on products, services and experiences college students, alumni and campus communities need. Offers include discounts on textbooks from Barnes and Noble, technology like the Kindle and iPad, study aids like eNotes, Starbucks Coffee, spring break trips, tickets to theater and professional sporting events.
