yet2.com forms yet2Ventures Investment Fund

Intellectual property consulting and licensing services provider yet2.com has formed an investment fund that focuses on helping Fortune 500 firms and other owners of venture capital investments drive value in their portfolio companies.
In partnership with Japanese venture capital company JAIC, yet2Ventures aims to provide follow-on investments and liquidity to help small companies grow. yet2.com will support them through its global network – with offices worldwide – IP and technology licensing experience.
The first joint investment with JAIC is in Sunnyvale, California-based Avantis Medical Systems, which develops and manufactures catheter-based endoscopic devices for detecting and treating cancer in the GI tract.
