Trustpilot, an Åbyhøj, Denmark-based operator of a consumer website where users can gain an overview of companies’ customer satisfaction and contribute their own experiences, has raised DKK5,5m in venture capital funding.
Investors include SEED Capital and the company’s existing shareholders.
Trustpilot intends to use the funds to expand in Europe, primarily in the UK and the Nordic countries. Founded by CEO Peter Holten Mühlmann, the site is dominant in Denmark and has introduced the consumer service to a further ten countries.
Trustpilot is also designed to give companies the opportunity to work proactively with customer reviews and give visitors the reassurance they need to buy from them.
