The Resumator Raises $100,000 from Innovation Works

The Resumator, a Pittsburgh, PA-based recruiting software startup, recently raised $100,000 from seed-stage investor Innovation Works.

The funds will be used to continue to expand the company’s marketing and sales efforts.
Launched in January 2009, The Resumator develops Web-based social recruiting and applicant tracking tools that are designed to help businesses with limited resources manage hiring more professionally and efficiently.
It combines social recruiting tools for promoting jobs inside social media, with an applicant tracking system that makes reviewing resumes collaborative, efficient and paper free (to see how the system works click here).
The company targets specific customers in the recruiting space, called “deputized hiring managers”, who work in smaller organizations and recruiting is not their full-time job. The Resumator enables them to replace the HR email accounts (especially those who still use a jobs@, hr@ or resumes@ email address) and Excel spreasheets found in most of these organizations with its solution.
Customers currently include over 200 organizations in nearly every industry.
During 2011, the company, which is a graduate of Innovation Work’s AlphaLab program, intends to roll out features and services designed to provide deeper connectvity between a business, its employees, and their social network connections.
