Symplified, a Boulder, Colo.-based provider of cloud identity and access management services, closed a $9.2m Series B round of venture capital financing
The round was led by existing investors Granite Ventures and Allegis Capital, with participation from strategic investor Quest Software.

This brings to the total amount raised by the company to date to $18.8m. Symplified plans to raise additional Series C capital later in 2011.
As stated by founder and CEO Eric Olden, the funds will allow the company to scale its field organization “to meet global demand for a technology that is mature and years ahead of anything else on the market”.
Symplified enables companies to embrace cloud infrastructure and applications by providing single sign-on, access control and user management in its identity service. During 2010, the company introduced the Trust Cloud, which integrates Symplified technology with Amazon Web Services, to provide identity services on a massively scalable and global basis.
Symplified operates regional offices in Silicon Valley, Washington DC, and Boston.
