RootMusic, the creator of BandPage, a music app that allows artists to represent themselves professionally on Facebook, has closed a $2.3m Series A funding.
The round was led by Mohr Davidow, with participation from angel investor Larry Marcus.The company intends to will use the capital to grow their team and expand their current product offerings.
BandPage enable musicians to share music, videos, photos, tour dates and Twitter feed with their fans on Facebook. It is used by artists like Rihanna, Avril Lavigne, Lil Wayne, Katy Perry and Grateful Dead, as well as 60,000 local, regional and national musicians around the world.
Based in San Francisco, Calif., the company is led by CEO J Sider.
