OnSwipe Raises $1M in Funding

OnSwipe, a New York,NY-based platform for tablet publishing and advertising, has raised $1m in funding.
Backers include investment firms Spark Capital, Betaworks and ENIAC Ventures and angel investors Dharmesh Shah (co-founder of Hubspot), Jennifer Lum (co-founder of Apricot Capital), Roy Rodenstein (founder of Going.com), and Wayne Chang (creator of file sharing network i2hub).
The company will use the funds to accelerate the growth of its platform, which enables a website to instantly be transformed into a native HTML5 app experience via the browser on any touch enabled device.
OnSwipe, co-founded by Andres Barreto and CEO Jason L. Baptiste, allows publishers to make their content available through different devices including iOS, Android, BlackBerry.
In conjunction with the funding, Alex Finkelstein, general partner at Spark Capital, will join the company’s board of directors.
